Deb Dean -Smith had great success at the June 20-22 GMHA dressage show winning 5 High Score awards and 2 Reserve High scores! DONNERVOGEL was the high score FEI two days with wins in the PSG, 69.250%, and in the Intermediare I with a 67.625%. LADY LIBERTY was second in the Intermediare II with a 63.1% . LA HABANARA was the high score Fourth Level with wins in Fourth Level test one with scores of 71.6% and 69.7% LaHabanara was also the high score Fourth Level horse of the show! Congratulations!! Deb has qualified Donnervogel, Lady Liberty and LaHabanara for Dressage at Devon. That should be a fun show!

Our foals have all arrived! A chestnut colt by "ROUTINIER" out of Liana, A black filly by "L'ANDIAMO" out of Angelina and the cutest chestnut colt by "STIBBY MY" out of Easter moon. We are breeding to Starlight, Soprano, Stibby Me, Ridley, and L'Andiamo for 2009.

Germany news: Our first two foals presented were granted Premium Status. Weisendras Status Quo filly and Freidas filly by For Compliment! Our For Compliment filly has been chosen for the Elite Foal Auction in August. Our three mares are bred for 2009. Weissendra to SirDonnerhall, Heidemadchen to Detroit (Dimaggio-Lord LIbertyG) and Freida to Fuerst Romancier.

We welcome "STATESMAN", newly licensed in Vechta this 3 year old stallion has quite a future ahead of him. We are very proud of our breeding program both here and in Germany. "STATESMAN" is the second stallion to be licensed this year bred by Ann Kitchel. "DonMassimo" (Don Larino-Santander) is also looking forward to a great career ahead.. Congratulations and thanks to Clemens v Merveldt for preparing "STATESMAN" for his test. Clemens presented his Florencio-Donnerhall stallion "FLORISCOUNT" and he was licensed as well. We are very proud.

Congratulations to Deb Dean-Smith on her accomplishments at her first show of the season. The "Spring Fling" at Gladstone. Deb and DONNERVOGEL (Donnerhall-Ex-Libris) owned by Linda Wondrack, scored a whopping 77% in the Intermediare I. It was amazing to watch! SPS LADY LIBERTY Debs mare by Lord Liberty G-Sion was awarded a 69.7% in their first Intermediare II. This pair is working on the Grand Prix and it now looks like it is in the near future. LA HABANARA (Lord Sinclair-Castro) debuted at fourth level and received a 71.6%!!! We are very proud of Deb and her success!!!! All three of these horses were chosen and purchased in Germany by Ann Kitchel.

Our three foals here in Vermont are due in June. Looking forward to seeing what we get this year!

2007 WAS A VERY EXCITING YEAR, BOTH HERE AND IN GERMANY, FOR OUR BREEDING PROGRAM.

OUR MARES IN GERMANY:

SPS Weissendra: ( Donnerschwee - Titus- Waldschuetz ) had a premium foal by Lord Sinclair. This big handsome, big moving colt was sold to clients in Spain. Weissendra just presented us with our first foal of 2008, a bay filly by 2006 Siger-Hengst "Status Quo".

SPS Little Star: ( Santander - Rubinstein - Absinth ) had a premium filly by Dimaggio and we are keeping her for breeding. SPS Little Star is in foal to Dimaggio and has been sold to Georgina Pole-Carew in the UK to enhance their breeding program.

SPS Wolandia: ( Sandro Hit - Azkent II - Argentinus ) has been sold to Debbie Wallin and now has a new home in South Africa. Wolandia just foaled a beautiful filly by Hotline!

*EL/ Heidemachen: just presented us with a gorgeous chestnut colt by Don Romantic.

The "biggest" and most "exciting" news is the licensing of Don Massimo ( Don Larino/SPS Little Star - Santander - Rubinstein ) at the Hengst Korung in Vechta in November 2007. I sold this lovely foal to a couple in Southern Germany. Don Massimo was sold following the Korung to the IPS Group of the Netherlands. The IPS Group is a syndicate that looks for top talent for their 3 top riders: Anky van Grunsven, Peter van Minderhoud and Edward Gal. My colt has been earmarked for Anky! What a thrill! I am very proud!

AT HOME:

Holly Simensen representing GOV inspected our 6 foals and awarded 4 premiums. L'Andiamo's foals aren't eligible for premium as he has not been performance tested. However, Holly assured me that if he were we would have had 6 premiums! How exciting and fun!

POSTCARDS:

Congratulations to Christine Shea and her colt Dionysis ( Golden Letters - Goldfuerst - Goldschreiber) for winning Champion Weanling colts/geldings in the Rheinland Pfaltz-Saar International. We are proud of Golden Letters too, one of Huntington Farm's own. Golden Letters' full sister,Glimpse of Gold; now owned by Kelly Parker is making a big splash in the hunter world. L'Espirit by L'Andiamo, owned by Vanessa Spencer, has just returned from Florida and is all geared up for the upcoming New England Hunter Circuit with trainer Chelise Storace.

Speaking of gearing up, Huntington Farm's trainer, Deborah Dean-Smith is readying her own SPS Lady Liberty, Donnervogel, owned by Linda Wondrack and Huntington Farm's La Habanara for competition starting in May. All 3 horses were started by Deborah as youngsters and will be competing at 4th Level and above.

2006

Congratulations to Deb Dean-Smith on her successful 2006 show season. She is off to a good start! At the CDI 3* Raleigh Deb and her mare SPS LADY LIBERTY (Lord Liberty G-Sion) had wins at Intermediare I with scores to 67.7%. DONNERVOGEL(Donnerhall-ExLibris) owned by Linda Wondrack did very well at Fourth Level with scores to 64%. At the BKF North Spring Dressage show in Gladstone, Deb and LADYLIBERTY triumphed again at I1 with scores to 66%. DONNERVOGEL was a star at Fourth Level with scores to 72%. At our local GMHA show the end of July LA HABANARA (Lord Sinclair-Castro) debuted at Third Level and won one of her classes with a 64%. This was her first show and she was just super! Calm as a cucumber! Deb will end the season at Dressage at Devon. All three of these horses were purchased at the Vechta Elite auctions in Germany.

SPS FUERSTIN WEISSA (Fuerst Heinrich-Donaumonarch) bred by Hergen Schweers and shown here by Clemens v. Merveldt, at the Elite Mare Show in Rastede, Germany where she was chosen as one of the 46 best mares in Oldenburg.! An honor for me as I chose her as a foal in the Vechta Elite Auction. She has been bred to Rubinero(Rubinstein-ExLibris) for 2007!

Welcome DEVEROUX (DonCardinale-Top of Class) Purchased at the April Vechta Elite Auction. This 3 year old has a promising career in Dressage ahead of him. Owned by Linda Wondrack and trained by Deb Smith.

2005

January 23, SPS Little Star (Santander-Rubinstein-Absinth) had a bay colt by Don Larino. He was taken to the foal inspection last week in Vechta and was awarded a premium, declared a stallion prospect and was chosen for the auction to be held in Vechta April 23. Little Star has been bred back to Don Larino for 2006.

February 25 brought us another bay colt , SPS Weissendra (Donnerschwee-Titus-Waldschuetz) by Stedinger. This is Weissendras second foal by Stedinger and she is bred back to Rubin Royal for 2006.

March 31 brought us our THIRD BAY COLT! SPS Wolandia ( Sandro Hit- Akzent II-Argentinus) By Blue Hors Romanov! I haven't decided who to breed Wolandia back to. Thinking about Depardieu and Lord Sinclair. What fun to have so many super stallions to choose from.

Next to foal is */Elite Heidemadchen (Rubinstein -Ramino-Magister) in foal for May to Sir Donnerhall. Can't wait to see that one! We have three mares at the farm all in foal to Landwerder....Due in June.

Deb Smith has returned from Florida and intense training with Shelly Francis. She is aiming Donnervogel (Donnerhall-Ex Libris-Pik Bube) for the FEI 6 Year olds. Congratulations to Linda Wondrack for her purchase of Donnervogel and thank you for letting Deb continue to ride and train this wonderful talent. SPS Lady Liberty (Lord LIberty G-Sion) will compete at 4th level this season. Deb will also be competing a few of the farms homebreds. Gille will be debuting at PSG.

S.P.S. Lady Liberty - (Lord Liberty G - Sion - Louvre) Shown this summer, third level with scores in the mid 60%. FEI will be no problem for this team.

S.P.S. Penelope - (Lord Liberty G - Sion - Louvre) From the famous Petti line.
Breeder: Lenchen Becker Purchased by Deborah Dean-Smith at the April 2001 Elite Vechta Auction. Penelope had a colt by Dormello born February 2002

Now Known as "Lady Liberty" No longer a broodmare and back under saddle. Look for her in the dressage shows this summer!

SPS Waldrose - (Lafitte - Argentinus - Damokles)

Imported last April, Rosie is now well under saddle and will be shown this summer.

VP Carmen - (Lord Sinclair - Castro - Weltmeister) Lord Sinclair was 1997/1998 Bundeschampion and out of the famous Cinderella line. This lovely, big moving mare, was imported in October and is going very well under saddle.
